The tool that explains the societal and environmental impacts of our products to you with an A+B+C+D grading.
The Green Impact Index is an information and grading tool for the environmental and societal impact of cosmetic and family health products.
It was designed by the Pierre Fabre Group to assess all of its products, and the robustness and reliability of the method have been evaluated and guaranteed by the independent body AFNOR Certification.
In total, 20 criteria are reviewed to give the product an A, B, C or D score.
A score of A or B means that the product can be considered as eco-socially designed as it meets sufficient environmental or social performance criteria based on recognized standards.
More than just a grading system, the Green Impact Index is a tool and an approach that enables people to make informed choices, in line with their values, and to consume more responsibly.
Continuous improvement is at the heart of our approach.
The analysis of the 20 environmental and societal criteria of the Green Impact Index enables us to identify precise areas for improvement and to do everything possible to improve the eco-socio-design of products rated C or D.
The score for each product is obtained from the evaluation of 14 environmental and 6 societal criteria. The environmental score accounts for 2/3 of the overall rating and the societal for 1/3. The overall rating is first calculated out of 15, then 20, to obtain the product’s Green Impact Index. The table below details these different criteria and their respective weight in the overall rating.
