Stress, pollution, hormonal imbalances, certain medical treatments, the use of unsuitable hair care products can cause dandruff.
These various factors lead to the proliferation of a type of yeast, known as Malassezia Furfur, which creates an imbalance in the scalp and causes irritation and itching. This can result in two types of dandruff :
Dry dandruff : fine, white or greyish. Does not stick to the scalp, it breaks off spontaneously and fall as a “powder” onto the shoulders.
