DEXYANE MED Palpebral was applied twice a day to the eyelids for 22 days. The clinical severity score (including itching, burning, tightness, etc.) from 0 to 9, immediately after 3 days of application, was compared to the pre-application scores. Immediately, the itching score significantly decreased, and the burning score improved by day 3. The overall development of lesions was evaluated by the PGA score on a 5-point scale : 0 (aggravation) to 4 (completely healed); after 3 days of application, the majority of patients felt an improvement. A word from the dermatologist

About eczema-prone skin

Eczema is a common skin condition that can affect babies, children and adults. It is characterised by the formation of skin lesions (redness, vesicles and scabs) marked by flare-ups and intense skin dryness. Pain and itching are sometimes intense and can disrupt the daily lives of those who suffer from eczema.

Eyelid eczema : This area is frequently affected by eczema because the skin on the eyelids is very fine and therefore easier for irritants and allergens to penetrate. It predominantly affects women. The main cause is allergic reactions, caused via direct contact (application of cosmetics, eye drops, etc.), via hands (nail polish, etc.), or via airways (sprays, fragrances, etc.). It can also be caused by irritants (irritating, harsh products, etc.), and atopy.
Eyelid eczema damages self-esteem and is even worse for women since it impedes makeup application.
