The sun is the main cause of hyperpigmentation. When combined with female hormones or with the skin aging phenomenon, the sun causes unattractive and stubborn brown spots or pigmentation spots to appear. To avoid this, it’s recommended to apply an anti-brown spot sun cream every day.
The sun emits ultraviolet (UV) rays that stimulate melanin synthesis. But when produced in large quantities, it’s this pigment that causes the hyperpigmentation phenomenon, in other words uneven skin pigmentation. The sun increases and maintains brown spots. In addition, the sun can make some brown spot treatments less effective, by increasing the risk of recurrence.
So, to sum up, high-quality photoprotection is required to treat pigmentation spots on a daily basis.
Your anti-brown spot sun cream must protect you as much as possible against UV radiation. Choose a sunscreen:
An anti-brown spot sun cream must also reduce any brown spots already present, thanks to specific active ingredients recognized to help limit brown spots.
Finally, an anti-brown spot sun cream must be chosen according to the skin type, and non-comedogenic and fragrance-free to respect all skin, even the most sensitive.
You must apply anti-brown spot sun protection daily, all year round, and evenly to the affected or at-risk areas (face, neck, décolleté, backs of hands). Reapply every 2 hours.
In addition to an anti-brown spot sun cream, wear a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, clothes that cover the skin and avoid exposure in the hottest hours of the day.
